Thang Long Art Gallery
“Thang Long” is the former name of Hanoi, chosen by Emperor Ly Thai To, the first ruler of the Ly Dynasty, as the ancient capital of Vietnam in the year 1010. “Thang” (昇) means Rising and “Long” (龍) means Dragon. The name carries in itself a thousand years of history and culture of Vietnam’s capital city.

Thang Long Art Gallery is pleased to have successfully acquired this beautiful and prestigious artwork from Lot 16 Sotheby's Paris auction in November 2023 - Magnificence and Regality - The Princely Collection of Nguyễn Phúc Bửu Lộc. The painting will be included in the artist’s forthcoming catalogue raisonné prepared by the artist’s son, Alain Le Kim. The painting is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity prepared by the artist’s son, Alain Le Kim. This artwork has gathered a huge amount of interest and was sold to a very high-profile collector in Hanoi.
Thang Long is honoured to receive a nomination for “Art Gallery of The Year” in Luxuo Asia Awards 2023, marking a milestone in the nearly 3-decade long journey we have had with Vietnamese contemporary art since the 90s. Here’s to many more years to come!
